When is the right time to have a second child?

First of all, for my family that reads my blog, I am not pregnant and not trying.
As Mateo is getting older the question starts to come up of when is the right time to have a second child.? The big debate of not wanting to have them too far a part so they are still close, but career wise and money wise I would still like to wait.
These thoughts also come to mind when we started to see Mateo get a little territorial over me, when I picked up other babies, and that can't be a good thing.
Now money wise, I have read several articles that the cost isn't as big because you have all the major items already (I was the second child and know all about the hand me downs).
Personally I want to wait to get my career in a good established place, but I think this is always where women struggle. Will we be behind in our career, when we leave on maternity leave and have to start over every time?
The biggest dilemma is, "are you, as a mom ready for a new baby all over again?", forget about the hit your body takes but are you ready for sleepless nights and not calling your body yours again until you are done breastfeeding?
More importantly men take notice of all these questions because sure it would nice to have another kid but there is a lot to think about.
