We want to encourage moms to cook and learn the importance of what they put on the table. We are REALISTIC and STRIVE to make a healthy lifestyle accessible to everyone, through education. Membership is FREE so sign up to follow us today! We work together to share knowledge of everything from recipes, nutrition, to how to plan ahead. We offer something for every lifestyle, from just the basics of cooking, spaghetti and pizza, to people looking to learn something new about nutrition, organics or even raw cooking. Never cooked before, let us help you get started, we offer some basic cooking lessons from a mom, to help get you started and then this group will help keep you going for a lifetime of providing healthy and nutritious meals for your family. We offer: Workshops, share recipes, and fun get togethers.

Monkeys, monkeys, monkeys...oh and tigers, lions and birds!

Today I took Mateo to a small close by zoo with our local playgroup. Now he is a little young (11 months) to grasp or enjoy the zoo, I think, but it was fun, none the less. I enjoyed seeing Mateo look so serious, because he was in amazement or confusion (who knows) over seeing all these different animals. We even feed the goats and I have never seen Mateo so straight faced, just staring at these goats. Another odd moment was the when the white tiger was pacing back and forth and then just stopped and looked Mateo straight in the eyes. This tiger was probably thinking Mateo looked like tender meat, but I gave it a disapproving mom look back and then quickly shuffled along.
The whole day was great, even if Mateo slept through the last hour or so but it will be another memory with my little boy I will cherish. Although after the zoo I started to think about how much I couldn't wait to experience everything with Mateo, as he gets older, from sporting events to amusement parks and many more zoo trips to come. But I also hate the thought of going to work and not doing as much as I could with him, especially as he gets older and able to do more, but I guess that's life (sad but this my reality for now, as I have to work).
All and all, I loved today, and I think I enjoyed getting to do things again that I haven't done since I was a child. I guess Mateo will keep me young at heart!
(I know this posting was a just a little warm fuzzy moment, but I think everyone enjoys reading those from time to time)
