Sleep...what sleep!

While Mateo stayed up most of the night last night, which means I didn't sleep either, (I think it just teething) I think about that saying, "Try to sleep when your baby is sleeping"! Now maybe I am just crazy but this saying has never worked for me, because when he is sleeping, it is the only time I can get stuff done like clean bottles so that he has clean ones when he needs to be fed next, or cook more food for him so that he has a good lunch. Also I think my kid is psychic because when I try to go lay down when he is napping, it is almost a guarantee that he will wake up. So as much as people tell you this line "Try to sleep when your baby is sleeping!" it is easier said then done.
As you can tell my thoughts today are very short, because I am lacking sleep and have a lot to do today! I did though get out to run a bit yesterday, so there is an accomplishment.
By the way, my blogs to follow are going to include photos as well, to spice things up :)

  1. I NEVER slept when my babies slept, except of course at night. During the day, I felt a lot more refreshed by getting something done rather than attempting a nap that just wouldn't happen. Or if it did, like you said, the baby would wake up right away.

The only exception was when I had someone helping me who I knew could keep baby occupied and I would be uninterrupted for at least an hour, but that didn't happen often.

I think the "sleep when the baby sleeps" advice is meant for moms who can live with piles of dishes, laundry, and bills. I love my sleep, but my peace of mind also comes from being organized.
