About Me

We are a community group for mothers, currently in the Orillia to Gravenhurst, Ontario area, we focus on food, nutrition and health for our family. We draw on expert knowledge such as naturopaths, but best of all we learn and share knowledge from fellow mothers. Even if you have never cooked before we can help you get started. We want to encourage moms to cook and learn the importance of what they put on the table. We are REALISTIC and STRIVE to make a healthy lifestyle accessible to everyone, through education. Membership is FREE so sign up to follow us today! We work together to share knowledge of everything from recipes, nutrition, to how to plan ahead. We offer something for every lifestyle, from just the basics of cooking, spaghetti and pizza, to people looking to learn something new about nutrition, organics or even raw cooking. Never cooked before, let us help you get started, we offer some basic cooking lessons from a mom, to help get you started and then this group will help keep you going for a lifetime of providing healthy and nutritious meals for your family. We offer: Workshops, share recipes, and fun get togethers.

Challenging myself

So yesterday I signed up for this 30 day blog challenge. It is to challenge yourself to blog everyday, in order to increase your rankings in search engines, and to improve your writing (this is what they said). Now it is day two for me, and I already find it very difficult. I usually don't blog on the weekends, luckily yesterday I watched an MTV episode that I had to share with everyone but today I am not so lucky.
So I am going to take this time to to just write about upcoming blogs that I am going to write once all my research is done...

  • What the bank offers to moms starting a business (well for anyone really). Involves comparing different banks and how to use these services to your best advantage, and more importantly using them because they are free!

  • Starting to do my gut busting exercises, because this belly is only cute when you are pregnant and just because I am a mom now doesn't mean I am going to wear "mom jeans" (you know which ones, the ones that start under your boobs). This one is extremely important because I have to fit into my old work clothes in a month because I don't want to buy a whole new wardrobe.

  • Also an update on how freelance writing is going for me by then end of this month.

  • I am also in the process of a whole redesign of my blog, with the help of my husband so watch out for that.

Well I am going to watch "Kate plus 8", because my husband is playing baseball (otherwise he would wine until I changed the channel).

In honour of my 30 day blog challenge I invite readers to tell me if they are challenging themselves with anything, maybe to do a triathlon (god bless you), or maybe even just a 5k (still god bless you). If you are also blogging about it, please let me know your blog address so that I can read about it.
